As a Planning Consultant, I work closely with the Operations Team to develop the 2025-26 tactical plan, ensuring its alignment with the Ministry’s strategic plan and providing ongoing support to various teams as they work toward achieving the 2024-25 tactical plan.

In my role, I facilitate branch consultation sessions for the Corporate Services Branch, encouraging open dialogue and gathering valuable insights that inform our tactical approach. Additionally, I support the Co-chairs and Secretariats by assisting with planning, coordinating discussions, and ensuring smooth execution of initiatives.

Each month, I help facilitate Co-chair and Secretariat check-in meetings, where I follow up on action items, track progress, and manage documentation to ensure accountability and transparency within the team. I actively foster an understanding of diverse perspectives, recognizing their importance in creating well-rounded and comprehensive tactical analyses. This inclusive approach ensures that all viewpoints are considered, leading to more effective and adaptable strategies.

Learning to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, each with unique needs and perspectives is a skill that I am further developing through my experience with the Ops Team. The team comprises approximately 50 members, each bringing their own background, skill sets and viewpoints, so working within such a large group requires a high level of adaptability and communication to understand and address the varying expectations and priority of each stakeholder. This experience has enhanced my ability to support a culture of cooperation and mutual respect, all of which are crucial for achieving sustainable success within a large and varied team.

I also dedicate a portion of my time to volunteer work, particularly my role as a treasurer, administrator and board member. I take pride in contributing to my community by handling financial records, organizing events, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Most importantly, spending time with my family is very important to me. Whether we enjoy a meal together, play games or simply catch up on each other’s lives; those moments are invaluable.

I want to be known as someone who brings kindness into every interaction and as a resilient person who can be counted on to remain hopeful and steadfast. My goal is for these qualities to inspire others to face life with a similar mix of compassion and inner strength, creating a ripple effect of positivity and support that reaches beyond my own self.
